Corsair's Warthog Case: A Military-Inspired PC for Halo Enthusiasts

Building a desktop PC offers endless possibilities, from flashy RGB setups to compact designs. However, one theme that rarely gets explored is military surplus equipment. Corsair aims to change that with its new Warthog mid-tower case, which draws heavy inspiration from the iconic Halo battle vehicle. The name, color scheme, and rugged lines all evoke the feel of a military transport.

According to recent reports, the Warthog is a successor to the C70 Vengeance, which had a vintage radio-like appearance. The Warthog, however, abandons subtlety entirely, looking like it was dropped from an Imperial Guard supply truck onto a war-torn battlefield. Despite having a side window for component visibility, the case's steel handles, angular cuts, and red accents steal the spotlight. A "remove before flight" tag adds a touch of flair borrowed from other manufacturers, while metal guards protect the front buttons.

The Warthog is available in black or olive drab, with or without pre-installed fans. But it's not just about looks; the case prioritizes airflow with a spacious interior. A shroud covers only the power supply, leaving room for up to thirteen 120mm fans and three radiator mounting points (front, side, and rear). An integrated light above the rear I/O panel helps with cable connections in dark environments.

For those leaning toward a more illuminated build, Corsair also introduced the HX1000i Shift Crystal power supply. This fully transparent PSU showcases its internal capacitors and filters, a rare sight in modern hardware. It features the new PinProtect+ system for safe 12V-2×6 cable connections, an integrated iCue Link hub for fan control, and side-mounted connectors for better cable management. The 1000-watt unit is ATX 3.1 certified and comes with a ten-year warranty, plus an RGB 140mm fan.

Pricing and availability for both products remain unannounced, as is typical for Computex reveals. One can only imagine the striking contrast of pairing the transparent Shift Crystal with the rugged Warthog—like wearing a diamond bracelet to a mud run.
